Boo!

Financial news here is less than sunny. The House voted down the Bush/Pelosi bailout. Our new Concentrix studios are in their infancy and the bank financing our loan was taken over today by CitiGroup. Do I have concerns? Some. But I refuse to buy into the fear factor that our politicians are making hay with today.

So while the pundits spin, Fred continues to compose. And I continue to sooth my spirit with the feeling of clay between my fingertips. Barrel Firing #5 is set for October 31st...All Hallows Eve...Samhain. And tonight, amidst all the politicians' blah blah blah, I pinched my first piece for the barrel.

I think it was influenced by a combination of many things: today's political climate....HBO's new show "True Blood"... and a childhood love for Halloween. If there is any power in the piece I credit it to the latter. Honestly? I was just having fun.

Unsettling news today for sure. Keep the faith and make some more of those scary pots. Very nice lines.

Will probably make a whole passle of 'em --- my way of maintaining calm throughout crisis. At this rate, I may even make 100. :)
