This bird was one of my faves. Speaking only for myself, I love the way they nestle so naturally in my palm. Here's a pic of a few of the flock after emerging from the fire.

Max got a nice shot of my little spheres too. These guys are rattles. I keep one at my desk at work and when things get crazy, I shake it. Somehow, it brings me balance.

Thank you, Scottish Dog (my nickname for Max) for the wonderful photos. I hope we'll see some of your extraordinary pieces in the blogosphere soon!

Hey Becky, I visited your shelf last night before going home and took time to really take in your work. Wow, it's all really amazing. I love the birds and the cave paintings are amazing (even the ones that haven't been fired yet). Great work.
The birds are so colorful! Looking forward to the next barrel firing. Hope to see you in the studio this weekend.
Thanks for the photo credits, sorry I did not get better ones. My camera suddenly quit while photographing Elaines...I guess it could only take so much...If you want me to do some more/better leave me a note.
Ron - thanks so much for the good words. That really means a lot to me! Now I need to buckle down and improve my throwing.
Amy - The terra sig certainly helps the colour (and using porcelain.) I just have to use a less liberal hand in application so I can avoid the deep crackling.
Max - Finding the photo disc and photograph on my shelf last night was a wonderful surprise. Thank you! I'll definitely need some photos of individual pieces soon if you're interested?
Those birds are amazing. I expect them to take flight at any moment. The cracking makes such a nice texture, I hope you can find a way to stop it from flaking.
Don't get too hung up on the throwing. It will come to someone as talented as you. Perhaps you're focusing too hard on it. Let's get together and throw some pots on a Saturday.
John, you are such a good support person. Greg gave me some good tips on the sig dilemma. And I managed to throw some decent bowls after sacrificing a good bit of clay to the wedging altar.
How about next Saturday? You can throw 10 and I'll throw two? ;)
And thanks again for the vote of confidence. Bless your heart. *wink*
