Last Night (continued)

While raku (or "rakoon" as one of our composers at Concentrix calls it) was the main attraction last night, another long-awaited and eagerly anticipated event took place.

Jen finished loading the gas kiln. I stopped by Clayworks today on the way home from work and -- yeppers -- that baby is firing, just humming away! Not all of my pieces made it from shelf to kiln for this run. But I think about 18-20 did, including some mugs, a lidded casserole, a few bowls, a handbuilt box, a pitcher that's so bottom-heavy it would be a great instrument of self-defense in a home invasion, a couple of cave art pieces and these two fellas that will be an exercise in jewelry-making.

Unloading is scheduled for Friday or Saturday. Whatever the hour, I am there!

Nice work, your dance is getting smooth and the change of tempo is nice to see.

Hi, Elaine,
Yes, new adventures on the horizon. I'm curious to see how they turn out and where they might lead. Mr. I Am Big Skull looks FANTASTIC!!!

LLS, thank you. Often I feel like She Who Dances With Two Left Feet. But I'm ever drawn to the music.
