... I'm in the Christmas spirit! Yesterday, I went to Michaels to see if they had any boxes that would work well for holding the mugs I've made for gifting this year. They did! Which was wonderful! But they had scads of other stuff too. Christmas stuff. Aisle upon beckoning aisle of it. Tinsely, glittery, shiny, silver & gold, red & green STUFF!!!! I went a little crazy. Okay. I went more than a little crazy. I went certifiably insane, as the look on the young man's face at the checkout counter confirmed. Poor lad. I think he wanted to flee at the sight of me, my shopping cart piled precariously high with tinsely, glittery, shiny, silver & gold, red & green STUFF!!!!
Today I played with some of it. On a recent trip to the Metrolina Expo, I bought two metal stars to serve as door decorations this year. I love natural wreaths, but we had the house painted this year and our red doors became green doors --- not the best backdrop for green wreaths. Unadorned, the stars looked like door decorations, but not Christmas-y at all. So I took my hot glue gun to them as Mira watched and Callie kept us company..

Thanksgiving is four days away, so I went ahead and put the stars in place.

I know it's early but...
