Birds on the Brain
Barrel Firing #3 is set for 8/17. I have 5 birds from BF #2 I want to fire again. And more birds that need to be bisqued this Saturday. So I've spent some time applying terra sigilatta to the porcelain forms. This time I'd like to see what happens when only portions of the birds have been treated with terra sig.
I'm thinking I'll likely fire this flock in sawdust only. Have many ideas on what I want to achieve. And will post about that as we get closer to the firing.

You're only using sawdust after collecting all those cow pies? We'll have to change your name to The Cow Pie Collectin' Kid.

Now that you mention it, I may throw a small bit of magical moonure in the mix...since the cows were kind enough to contribute.
now that is a frame-able picture. Gorgeous flock. I'm looking for them to arrive in the sky anytime soon here in Huntersville. :)
