It wasn't just me. None of the ladies who shared the room with me today seemed satisfied with what they were doing. And when things are going that way, it's time to leave. Either the force is with you or it's not. Today my force was in another galaxy. So I left.
I came home to do laundry. During the rinse cycle, water gushed out from beneath the washing machine. The infamous Storybrook pipes again. (Plumbing has been a thorn in our side since the day we moved in to this house.) So I'll stay home tomorrow to meet the Roto-Rooter guy. He's visited us twice a year for the past 9 years. May the force be with him when he snakes our drain. Again.
Later, I decorated the surface of a pot I pinched from porcelain some time back. It's another Lascaux image...this one more muted & faded. I'm not sure that what I've done with slips & underglazes will translate. We'll see where the bisque fire takes him.
Hopefully, he'll fire on a less blustery day.

Ha! Sorry, not funny. The skip in energy is going around. Check out Jen Meccas` blog. I had a day like that a couple of weeks ago and sent it on the wind. The wind was blowing to the east. Ooops. Things will be better, just clear your mind and listen for a while. Don`t try, just let go. A little LLS philosophy. Your pot will be lovely, I also see a ceremonial cup looking back at me. Very nice.
Ha, indeed, John! All I can say is that must've been one corker of a bad day you had a couple of weeks ago!
Your advice is most welcome & I'll put it to good use. (Class tomorrow)
And thanks for your confidence in the cup. That actually helped me end yesterday on a good note, feeling more at peace.
Have you fired the bowl yet? Oh, forgot to answer at traveler. 3 horses. 1 retired racer, 1 saddlebred/arab mix and a big pinto. I don`t ride much anymore but Len rides the thorobred. He`s a big dog. Family pet type of horse. Named Romeo. Happy Valentines!
Hi again. I wanted to ask about the duendes and if they left you yet. I get side tracked. Old age creepin up on me.
Hi, John. Thanks for stopping by & for asking about the bowl. I'm not sure if its been fired at Clayworks yet. Will find out tomorrow when I head that way to spend the day. My feeling is that the horse will make it through w/o mishap, despite the chaotic energies the day it was created.
Your horses are quite wonderful. Loved the "big dog" comment.
And yes, it seems the duendes have packed up and moved their tents elsewhere. (Wonder if they have inside news that a satellite might be falling on my house?)
Hi there Becky, I`ve been musing in front of the computer all day. Snow, rain and cold out here. My bum knee is giving me fits and a replacement is still several months away. I take a wonder drug called hydrocodone, it makes me smile. I love when unexpected consequences occur. Puts everyone back in their place. The great spirit wins again, like usual.
Computer musing days can be quite productive, I find. Sorry to hear about the bum knee. :( Was this a result of your earlier run in with a mule?
Porcelain pony galloped right through the the bisque phase. (Thank you for asking) Now I'm faced with what to do for the final glazing. I confess I don't have a good grasp on this. Don't have the experience to know the best path to take so, for now, it's always a crap shoot.
