I took some liberties. The reddish feline isn't red at all on the original painting. But I wanted some variety on this small pinch pot. May the Cave Gods forgive me. ;) And this piece is far from finished, deco-wise. We'll see where it takes me. This one I may keep aside for raku, I'm not sure.
While my Daily Clay regime didn't yield me 21 pieces to play with, I'm pretty much satisfied with the things I ended up with. Once again, they are all beginnings. New stamps for surface decoration. New clay bodies for glaze tests. New opportunities for raku.
New beginnings keep me going. I'm looking forward for class to begin again!

I LVOE these cats!!!
Yes Zada Jane's.....when?!!
Becky, love your site. Pottery and your cats. We have 3-2 outside and one inside (we are house sitting Will's cat, going on 2 years now).
I will be reading from time to time. Don't know how to start these for myself.
Elaine, your schedule is busier than mine at the moment. You pick the day & time and I'll be there! And I'm glad you like the lionesses. They're trickier than the horses & I'm still trying to get them right.
Max! So glad you like the site! I saw your wonderful creation again tonight when I went to class. Still dying to know what glazes/oxides you used on it? Starting a blog is easy. If I can do it, it'll be a stroll in the park for you. You might consider it?
I might, time...time...time. On other common interests, I left you a sample of what I have been listening lately. Some old, some new, some old new, and some new old. I know you are interested in different and lyrics, and it is that.
On the "layers of clay" it is just iron oxide and a little brushed ben v and on outside rear piece clear over iron o.
Thank you Max! For both the instrux on your wonderful glazing and the CD. I found it last night on my shelf. What a fine surprise. And you picked a Cat Stevens song to kick it all off...couldn't have chosen better. I listened to it today at work...was introduced to new words and enjoyed renewing my acquaintance with old.
Again, thank you! Incidentally, a blog can take as much or as little time as you like. It would be great to see you showcase some of your pieces here!
