Frog Legs

I'm okay with his legs but, crikey!, those TOES!!! Nonetheless, he is what he is (frog/possom mutation?) and he's drying nicely.

I have no idea how I'll glaze him. I'd like to raku him but I'm afraid those fragile tootsies might be too delicate for that?

Is someone having A Hard Day's Night? :)

Becky - I'm just getting ready to read thru your latests posts, but I have a question totally unrelated. Can't figure out your e-mail from the blog site, so I'm posting as a comment. When is the next raku firing at the studio? Are any classes having them this week? I have a piece I would like fired sitting on the raku glaze shelf next to the cone 6 shelves. It is the carved candle holder. Red Luster glaze. If anyone gets a chance to fire it, that would be fabulous. I will hopefully be there either Tues or Wed night.

Hiya Angela,

No raku Tuesday. But I believe that Greg's Mon and Weds classes are both firing this week. I'll be there Mon night and watch for your candleholder. I have a couple of pieces I'd like to fire too.

Hope all is well with you?

Hi Beck
Another beautiful bit of modelling, what size is he/she?

Doug, hello! I appreciate your kind words. I wish I could say he was an 8 pounder. :) In reality, he measures 4.5" snout to tail. And he's 3" at the widest point. He'll shrink of course, once he's bisqued.

Have been reading your blog religiously for inspiration. But I've been having an attack of the "shys" recently and don't leave comments. So I do very much appreciate yours.

Ha ha, don't be shy!

I think Cookie will be back on-line soon, he's been doing loads of stuff.

Look forward to seeing the results of the barrel firing.
