'Tis the Season

There were quite a few folks at Clayworks today, more than I would have expected this close to the holidays. A few of us (John, Amy, Kim, Minke & I) decided to share some goodies & Christmas cheer before everyone headed to wherever they are headed for the holidays. John made some killer cookies. (*hint hint - recipe please*), Minke brought sushi, Amy, Minke & I brought wine and we ordered Donato's Pizza. I didn't take any pix of the festivities for blogging. But Amy & John did so you may find photos on their blogs.

I did have my camera with me. And I put it through its paces on my way home. The poor little digital beastie can only do as well as it's operator (no photographer here) but I hope these pics share some of the lights of the season.

I pass the above display every weeknight on my way home. It's there every year & is much more spectacular than what my pic shows. The shot below is from a neighborhood about 2.5 miles from my house.

The following displays are all in my neighborhood & they're what Spanky & I see when we go for our evening walk.

Spanks enjoys the lights, surprisingly enough, though he's scared of just about everything. So much for the savage pit bull. (But that's a soap box post for later).

I'm partial to reindeer displays.  "Rudolph" featuring the music of Johnny Marks is my favourite Christmas special.  But there's always room for Frosty.

At Storybrook, the best I can muster is putting up lights on our back deck. We don't have an outdoor outlet in the front yard. And while I could probably get electrio-creative with that, I'm content not to. These lights reflect in Williams Pond. That'll do, I think.

Because, inside, we have all the magic we need in our Christmas tree. This year's tree came from Hodge's Dairy Farm and it's a beaut!

If I don't post again this week, I hope you have the warmest, merriest and most joyful holidays!

Peace...Goodwill...to all!

Hi Bekcy,
I finally got on and hunted down all of the Clayworks potter's blog sites. I see you stayed true to your word and took pictures of the neighborhood Christmas lights. Nice job. Have a great holiday.
